HeroSMS Companion App (Hero SMS on your Home Screen) is an independent iOS companion app for HeroSMS accounts.

Getting started

Sign in to your account at hero-sms.com and copy your API key.
Open Hero SMS and paste the key. It's stored in your iPhone's Keychain.
Tap +, choose a service and a country, and tap Buy.

FAQ

My code hasn't arrived. Codes usually arrive within seconds, but some services take longer. If nothing arrives, tap Cancel on the number to get a refund to your HeroSMS balance. You can also try another country: the TOP badge marks the countries with the best delivery.

Can I get another code on the same number? Yes. After the first code arrives, tap Another SMS.

How do I top up my balance? Balance is managed on hero-sms.com. Top up there, then pull to refresh in the app.

The app says my API key is no longer valid. You may have changed the key on hero-sms.com. Copy the new key and paste it again.

I'm not getting code notifications. Check that notifications are on in Account › Notifications and allowed for Hero SMS in iOS Settings › Notifications, then tap Send test notification. Notifications only come while you're away from the app. When it's open, codes show up in the app instead.

Can codes arrive faster? Yes. Copy your personal webhook URL from Account › Notifications and paste it under Webhooks in your hero-sms.com profile. Codes then arrive instantly, including for numbers you buy on the website.

Is my data safe? Your API key is stored in your iPhone's Keychain, and the app talks directly to HeroSMS. If you turn on code notifications, a small relay run by the developer also uses your key to check for codes while you're away from the app. It never stores your messages or codes. There are no analytics or trackers. See the privacy policy.
